Books

Money lessons for every age

Nobody taught me about money growing up. So I wrote the books I wish I’d had: one for kids, one for teens and one for adults.

Make Your Move

13 money moves school skips, for teens ready to earn, save and grow their own money.

Why I wrote them

The money lessons I wish I’d been taught

I grew up in New Orleans with a single mom who worked in education. We didn’t talk about investing, credit or building wealth, not because nobody cared, but because nobody had been taught. I learned the hard way, through my first business at 16, six years in the Air Force, starting Xonicwave with no loans and buying rental homes.

These three books are my way of passing those lessons on earlier and easier. Each one is written for a different stage of life, in language that age group actually uses. They work on their own, and they work even better together: a family can read all three and share the same money vocabulary at the dinner table.

Which book is right for you?

Start where you are

For young kids (ages 6–10): Millie’s Millions is an interactive coloring book. Kids color the story while parents use a short note on every page to talk about where money comes from, needs versus wants, saving first and waiting before buying. It’s the easiest way to start the money conversation at home.

For teens (ages 11–16): Make Your Move is a 13-step playbook. Teens follow a brother and sister earning their first money, then learn to pay themselves first, read a paycheck, use debit and credit wisely, spot scams and let time grow their money. Each chapter has a Real Talk with Chad box.

For adults: Your Next Money Move is a 120-day plan. You list every debt on one page, split your extra money with a clear 75/25 rule, automate your payments and savings, roll paid-off debts into the next one and check in every 30 days.

How to use them together

One family, one money language

Parents often read Your Next Money Move for themselves while coloring Millie’s Millions with younger children and handing Make Your Move to a teenager. Everyone hears the same core ideas: earn, save first, spend on purpose, avoid bad debt and give your money time to grow.

Pair any of the books with my free Money on One Page worksheet to see your whole financial picture in one place. Schools, youth programs and companies can also order copies in bulk. Contact me about bulk orders, signed copies or author visits.

What readers take away

Small habits, big results

Across all three books, the goal is the same: give readers a few simple habits they can start today, and the confidence to keep going. Kids learn that money is earned and choices matter. Teens learn how a paycheck, credit and compound growth really work before they make costly mistakes. Adults get a clear, step-by-step plan to get out of debt and start building wealth in 120 days.

None of it requires a big income or a finance degree. It requires a plan, a little patience and starting now. That’s the message I wish someone had given me when I was young, and it’s the one I share in every book, talk and video.
