Lifestyle

Work hard. Live well.

Las Vegas, golf, the gym, my cars and my Husky, Shelby. Here’s what fills the rest of my life.

Home base

Las Vegas

I moved to Las Vegas for a better quality of life, and it’s been everything I hoped. There’s always something happening.

On the course

Golf

Golf keeps me patient and honest. It’s also where some of my best conversations happen.

Health

The gym

Training is part of my routine. Taking care of your body is an investment, just like taking care of your money.

Best friend

Shelby

I’m a huge dog lover, and my Siberian Husky, Shelby, goes everywhere she can. She shows up in a lot of my Instagram posts, and she’s usually the star.

Game day

Football

A New Orleans Saints fan for life, and a Las Vegas Raiders season-ticket holder at Allegiant Stadium.

In the garage

Cars

Classic car restoration and performance cars. I like the attention to detail, the same way I run a business. See the cars.

Life in Las Vegas

Why I call Las Vegas home

I moved to Las Vegas for a better quality of life, and it delivered. There’s always something happening, from world-class dining and shows to golf courses and wide-open desert drives. It’s also a great place to build a business and a life on your own terms.

Football is a big part of that life. I’m a New Orleans Saints fan for life, and I hold Las Vegas Raiders season tickets at Allegiant Stadium. Game day here is something else.

Health and balance

Taking care of the machine

Training is part of my routine. Taking care of your body is an investment, just like taking care of your money: small, steady deposits add up over time. Golf keeps my mind sharp and my patience honest, and it’s where some of my best conversations happen.

Balance doesn’t mean doing less. It means making room for the things that recharge you, so you have more to give to your work, your clients and the people you care about.

Shelby

A huge dog lover

I’m a huge dog lover, and my Siberian Husky, Shelby, is my sidekick. She has more personality than most people I know and she’s the star of a lot of my Instagram posts. Dogs teach you loyalty, patience and how to enjoy the moment.

Cars and the garage

Performance and the details

I’ve loved cars since I started detailing them at 16. Today my garage has a tuned 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT S, a 450-horsepower 1967 Mustang Fastback and a 2021 Corvette Stingray Convertible. I love the attention to detail, the same way I run a business. See the cars.

Giving back

Success means more when it’s shared

A good life isn’t only about what you enjoy. It’s also about what you give. I’ve served on several nonprofit boards, including the board of directors of the Marshall Faulk Foundation in San Diego, and I make a point of supporting veterans and active-duty service members the way they supported me.

Sharing what I’ve learned about money and business is part of that too. For years, friends asked me for advice. Now my books, talks and Instagram let me share it with everyone, especially young people who are just starting out.

What a good life means to me

Work hard, live well, stay grateful

I believe in working hard and enjoying what that work makes possible: good food, great cars, travel, time on the golf course and time with my dog. I also believe in staying grounded. I grew up with very little, and I never forget it. Gratitude keeps you humble, and discipline keeps you free.
