Why I started it

Big-company IT for small businesses

Small businesses deserve the same IT and security that big companies take for granted. That’s why I started Xonicwave. I built it to put clients and employees first, with no nickel-and-diming.

Our methods come from my Air Force years: written processes, watching for trouble before it starts, and a plan for when something goes wrong. Clients get to focus on their work while we keep their systems running and protected.

What Xonicwave does

Managed IT and cybersecurity

Managed IT

Help desk, monitoring and maintenance for your computers, servers and network, so problems get fixed before they slow you down.

Cybersecurity

Protection against ransomware, phishing and data theft, with a plan for what to do if something gets through.

Compliance

Help keeping data protected, kept and reported the way your industry’s rules require.

Why I started Xonicwave

Big-company experience for small businesses

After six years as a Computer Security Program Manager in the Air Force, I spent years in enterprise IT consulting. At International Network Services, later part of Lucent Technologies, I led network security and business consulting for Fortune 500 clients. I went on to serve as Consulting Director for two California IT firms, leading teams of up to 25 engineers and consultants.

I kept seeing the same thing: big companies got disciplined, secure IT, and small businesses got whatever was left. In 2004, I started Xonicwave from scratch, with no loans, to change that. It was profitable in its second month, and I built it to put clients and employees first instead of nickel-and-diming them. More than 20 years later, that’s still how we run it.

How we work

Proactive IT, built on process

A managed service provider, or MSP, takes care of a company’s technology for a predictable monthly fee. Instead of calling someone after something breaks, you have a team watching your systems around the clock and fixing problems before they slow you down.

I built Xonicwave’s service around proven ITIL practices: automated monitoring, written procedures, structured incident response and continuous improvement. That discipline comes straight from my Air Force years, where security was about people, process and steady commitment, not just technology.

Clients get a real team they can reach. Our support team responds within 15 minutes during business hours on Gold and Platinum plans, and Titanium clients get support 24/7. A team that responds in minutes, not hours, keeps your people working.
